About Us
Ballina Shire Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit service that has been serving seniors, people with disability, and their carers since 1967. We provide quality meal delivery for a reasonable fee and support services for people in Ballina, New South Wales and neighbouring areas, particularly those who need assistance to remain living independently in the comfort of their own homes.
We make sure that our food is not only nutritious but also suits each client’s personal requirements. We also consider specific dietary needs and cultural taste preferences. Aside from this, we keep connected with our clients by regularly checking on them on their wellbeing and welfare. A relative, a friend, or a carer can arrange meals for you, or you can arrange for yourself. You can also be referred by a doctor or other health professionals.
Ballina Shire Meals on Wheels is funded through the Department of Health Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). As part of CHSP, referrals can be made through My Aged Care and the Australian Government central referral system, or by simply contacting Ballina Shire Meals on Wheels
